Error when trying to sign app extension

Description of the issue

I have a Xamarin.Forms project which includes a Today widget app extension as part of the iOS build. It’s a separate project within the SLN, but it gets built alongside the iOS project. The iOS project and the Extension project have their own provisioning profiles. When building the extension project, I’m getting an error that the code signing certificate cannot be found (although it’s the same as for the iOS project).

  • Does a “Rebuild” help? (You can trigger a rebuild from the Build’s page, by clicking the “Rebuild” button in the top right corner of a finished build) : NO
  • Does a rebuild without caches help? (You can remove the Cache:Pull and Cache:Push steps temporarily to not to use the cache, or you can delete all the caches on the Settings tab of the app. : NO
  • Does the issue happen sporadically, or every time? : Every time
  • Does upgrading the build Step to the latest version help? :NO
  • When did the issue start? : Always

Local reproduction

_Can it be reproduced on your own Mac/PC by following our local debug guide? No. It works in Visual Studio Mac just fine.

Hi @osmosis311!

So is the same exact configuration working on a different app? I think you’d need a development type certificate for any export type, which you seem to be missing here.
