Unable to add existing user to app

It seems that I am unable to add an existing user to an app. When entering their email, selecting the role and grant access buttons I get an error saying that the email already exists. I know it already exist since I granted them access for another one of our app’s however I am unable to add them to any other app. If I just put their bitrise user name the role buttons are grayed out and I can’t give them access. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Emails are case sensitive, please make sure users email matches the email you are adding the app!
