Gitlab pipeline hanging when aborted from bitrise

Description of the issue

Hello,

We are using a hosted Gitlab service and we want from Gitlab to be able to cancel builds and vice versa is this feature supported because when we abort build from Bitrise on Gitlab is still running we can use the gitlab status but how we can detect the abort event?
