Build always failing when installing missing Android tools

Description of the issue

All my android builds are failing since October 15 in the install-missing-android-tools step. Even in branches that didn’t have code changes and were being successful build until October 12, the builds are broken now.


Where did the issue happen? stack Android & Docker, Ubuntu 16.04

Which build Step causes the issue and which version of the step?

install-missing-android-tools v2.2.0


  • Does a “Rebuild” help? (You can trigger a rebuild from the Build’s page, by clicking the “Rebuild” button in the top right corner of a finished build) : NO
  • Does a rebuild without caches help? (You can remove the Cache:Pull and Cache:Push steps temporarily to not to use the cache, or you can delete all the caches on the Settings tab of the app. : NO
  • Does the issue happen sporadically, or every time? : Every time
  • Does upgrading the build Step to the latest version help? : NO
  • When did the issue start? : October 15

Local reproduction

The bug isn’t reproducible in the local machine.

These issues are due to us migrating to Andriod NDK version r18 last week. For solutions please see: Android Builds failing : No toolchains found in the NDK toolchains
