Availability of builds and artifacts on bitrise / for how long artifacts are kept

Do builds and artifacts expire/get deleted from bitrise? If so are there ways to mark and guarantee certain builds/artifacts are saved indefinitely?

Also, how are the builds/artifacts backed up on bitrise?

Right now we don’t have a hard limit, you can store unlimited builds & build artifacts. Of course, if someone abuses the system we’ll contact them, but for normal use it’s “unlimited”.

We might introduce some kind of limit in the future, but we don’t have any plans for that right now.

If I use “Deploy to Bitrise.io - Apps, Logs, Artifacts” step, how much disk space do I have for retaining the generated ipa or apk files including old builds? Maybe per app, or per account?

Is it possible to automatically remove build artifacts after a certain period?

Unfortunately there isn’t this option at the moment.

Currently the only way to “remove an artifact” is to delete the build.

Does the artifacts policy changed?
It looks like every artifacts built before than 3 months, had been archived.
The install web pages are alive, but download link returns ‘InvalidObjectState’ in xml.

You are correct, older artifacts are archived currently.
We are working on a feature to enable you to restore them yourself in the future, but until then, we can do it for you, just contact us at https://support.bitrise.io/, and we will be happy to help!
