Description
You can now set up Bitrise Build Cache with an AI prompt that walks you through the entire process for supported build tools, including Gradle, Xcode, React Native, and Bazel.
You can access the agentic setup option by:
- Going to Bitrise Build Cache
- Click the “Get started” or the “Set up Build Cache” button (depending on whether you already have an active trial or not)
- Then on the
Set up Build Cache for your projectpage click theGet the promptbutton.
Highlights:
- AI-guided setup flow: Instead of manually following setup docs, you can now use an AI prompt to guide the full Build Cache setup process.
- Supports all major Build Cache project types: The flow works with Gradle, Xcode, React Native, and Bazel projects.
- Human-readable setup plan first: Before any changes are made, the AI prints a clear setup plan so you can review exactly what will happen. The prompt is written in a readable, typed style for easier review.
- OAuth-based local authentication: You’ll log in with OAuth so you can authenticate locally and iterate against the Bitrise backend during setup.
- Automatic trial start when needed: If your organization does not already have an active Build Cache trial or subscription, the setup flow can automatically start a trial for you.
- Validates the setup end-to-end: The guided flow builds the project, enables Bitrise Build Cache, seeds the cache, and verifies that caching is working.
- Can also help set up CI: After local setup, the flow can also guide you through enabling Build Cache in Bitrise, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, GitLab, and self-hosted CI environments using the available documentation.
Why This Matters
Getting started with Build Cache traditionally meant following setup documentation and manually applying changes for each build system. This new guided experience makes adoption easier by showing the plan upfront, handling authentication, activating trials when needed, and verifying the integration end-to-end.
Bottom line: You can now get started with Bitrise Build Cache faster and with more confidence, using an AI-guided setup flow that helps to configure and to validate Build Cache on CI and in your (local or cloud hosted) development environment.
