# What are the advantages of registering iOS test devices in Bitrise?

Hi,

We currently have a deploy workflow configured to generate a ‘development’ distribution of the app. We receive the email notification with the install instructions which allow me to successfully install the app in my iPhone device (that is already added to the Apple Dev. Portal).

Given the fact that I do not need to register my iPhone in Bitrise to be able to install the app (either from the email notification or the QR code retrieved from Bitrise’s ‘Apps & Artifacts’ tab) what advantages would I get by registering my iPhone in Bitrise as a test device?
