# Set Xcode Project Build Number v2.0.0

The step has been updated to have support for the new versioning style introduced by Xcode. This means that the step can handle updating the version numbers in the project settings or in the plist file.

But this release is also a breaking change because the step inputs have changed. The step does not need to know about the Info.plist anymore as it can read it from the project settings. For the most projects you do not need to change any of the inputs because the default values will work out of the box.
