# I encountered an error of "A Distribution Provisioning profile should be used when submitting apps to the App Store."

# Bitrise Build Issue Report template

## Description of the issue

I encountered an error of “A Distribution Provisioning profile should be used when submitting apps to the App Store.”  
Collecting provisioning profiles and CODE SIGNING CERTIFICATES in codesigndoc.  
The previous CODE SIGNING CERTIFICATES had expired, so I created new ones and uploaded these in codesigndoc.  
It was working fine with code signing before the update.

I check

- Successful upload from xcode on my pc.
- Workflow Editor → Codesign should contain provisioning file of export type: app-store

## Environment:

**Which build Step causes the issue and which version of the step?**  
“Deploy to iTunes Connect - Application Loader” step

Hello!

Under your Xcode Archive step, can you set your export method type to another variable. I believe the default development is causing your build to fail.
